The key priority of the stable development of the industrial, social and environmental sphere of JSC "Solikamskbumprom" is a careful attitude to the environment and the implementation of Environmental Protection Policy.
The company's environmental management tool is a quality management and environmental management system certified for compliance with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
The company conducts constant environmental monitoring of wastewater discharge, industrial emissions into the atmosphere, and the resulting production waste. Thanks to systematic work and timely implementation of environmental protection measures, the negative impact of JSC "Solikamskbumprom" on the environment is noticeably reduced.
Discharges into the aquatic environment
One of the priority directions in the field of water environment protection is highly efficient treatment of industrial effluents entering the existing treatment facilities of the enterprise. The capacity of the treatment facilities is 260 thousand m3 per day, which makes it possible to achieve significant cleaning efficiency indicators: more than 99% for suspended solids, 96% for organic substances.
The mass of normalized pollutants discharged into the Kama reservoir in 2022 amounted to 48% of the number of indicators of the normatively permissible discharge.
The selection and analysis of determining the quality of surface waters in the control and background sections, conducted by the sanitary and industrial laboratory of the enterprise together with accredited laboratories, indicates that there is no negative impact on the hydrochemical regime of the Kama reservoir.
Emissions into the air
Regular monitoring of industrial emissions of the enterprise is carried out in an instrumental way by the sanitary and industrial laboratory of the enterprise, with the involvement of accredited laboratories. Stable operation and strict compliance with the technological regime of the cleaning equipment make it possible to achieve cleaning efficiency from industrial emissions of more than 98-99%. So, in 2022, the emission from sources into the atmospheric air of normalized indicators amounted to about 47% of the normatively permissible emission, which indicates the successful implementation of the purification program.
In addition, the air environment control group monitors the influence of the enterprise at the fake posts, its own waste disposal facilities. Measurements of atmospheric air quality and physical factors are regularly carried out at the border of the sanitary protection zone.
The results of atmospheric air monitoring confirm the absence of a negative impact of the enterprise on the quality of atmospheric air.
Handling of production waste.
JSC "Solikamskbumprom" applies a full production cycle: from harvesting wood to processing it into semi–finished products - cellulose, wood and thermomechanical masses, with the production of finished products.
The bark-wood waste generated at different stages of production, as well as the fibrous waste of fine fiber sorting, captured at treatment facilities (SCOP), are sent for neutralization (incineration) in the Wellons installation, followed by the production of technological steam for production needs. Compliance with the fuel conditions of the installation and timely measures taken during current and major repairs make it possible to dispose of at least 98% of bark and wood waste and osprey without increasing their placement in the environment. Thus, the percentage of waste placed at the disposal facilities is no more than 1-2%.
Taking into account the great importance of compliance with the requirements of environmental legislation in reducing the negative impact on the environment, Solikamskbumprom JSC involves modern technologies in its production activities, constantly improving environmental management.
